PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of uneven development of a sheet to be heat-developed by making the temperature distribution of the entire carrying surface of the sheet to be heat-developed fixed in the developing part of the heat developing device. SOLUTION: As to this heat developing device; the heating means of the developing part 1 is divided in the width direction of a hot plate 3 into a central heating part 2B having the same width of that of the sheet A to be heat- developed and end part heating parts 2C and 2C adjacent to both sides of the part 2B, and also the heating temperature of the part 2B is set to a temperature that the temperature of the carrying surface becomes the specified developing temperature, and the heating temperatures of the parts 2C and 2C are set higher than the heating temperature of the part 2B.
