PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of regulating a rotary machine powered by a voltage inverter receiving a control voltage from a regulator. SOLUTION: In this method for regulating a rotary machine 2, a regulator 16 receives a reference value and a sample signal representative of an electromagnetic torque of the machine, predicts the torque value at a following sampling instant, and modifies a control voltage according to the prediction. Servo- control of the torque includes steps of prior computation of a discrete model of a system comprising the machine and the inverter to establish variation in torque between two sampling instants in the form of a first term, that corresponds to free variation of the system in the absence of a control voltage, and a term corresponding to variation of the system under the action of a control signal, and of modifying the control voltage in such a manner as to cause the electromagnetic torque to vary from a value that corresponds to free variation of the torque to the reference value. |
