<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce torque shocks in a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle, a motor MG1 is coupled with a sun gear of a planetary gear, an engine is coupled with a planetary gear, and a motor MG2 and a shaft are coupled with a ring gear. A torque sensor 167 for detecting torque generated from the motor MG1 to the sun gear is provided. In the hybrid vehicle, the motor MG1 and the engine are operated according to the required torque. The motor MG2 compensates for the output torque from the motor MG1 and the engine to generate required torque at the shaft. The output torque is specified on the basis of the value detected by the torque sensor 167. Even when the actual output torque is affected by the influence of inertia and different from a torque command of the motor MG1 at a transient time, the output is compensated accurately and torque shocks are reduced.</p> |
