PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a protective material easily to a wire group. SOLUTION: In the structure for protecting the splice part 14 jointing the conductors exposed from a plurality of wire terminals by coating it with an insulating protective material, the protective material 11 comprises a tubular bottomed resin molded cap body 12, and a tubular metallic body 13 fitted integrally to the inner circumferential surface on the opening side of the cap body 12 and bonded thereto. The protective material 11 is fixed to a wire group W by inserting the splice part 14 into the protective material and pressing the fixing part of the tubular metallic body 13 from the outside thereby pressing the tubular metallic body 13 against the wire group and securing the tubular metallic body 13 thereto.
