PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device capable of accurately cutting a slender-like material to be cut in a predetermined lengthwise dimension. SOLUTION: A rotor 21 having 360 mm of a size of an outer periphery of an outer peripheral surface of a rotary auxiliary element 18 rotating by an induction motor 11 to hold a slender-like coaxial cable 2 is disposed oppositely to the peripheral surface of the element 18. When the element 18 is rotated by the motor 11, the rotor 21 is rotated while feeding out the cable 2. A rotary encoder 33 outputs predetermined number of pulses corresponding to a rotational speed of a shaft 23 rotating together with the rotor 21. A control box 6 calculates a feeding amount of the cable 2 from the number of pulses, and displays it on a digital panel meter 51. The cable 2 fed in a predetermined length is cut by a cutter 5. Since the speed of the rotor 21 is detected in association with its movement, even the cable 2 in which a deflection or waviness easily takes place can be accurately measured in its length.
