PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a code corresponding to a print color with a simple constitution and/or a small arithmetic amount by setting a table for deciding the corresponding relation of the data of an input color space to the data of an output color space according to the input color space. SOLUTION: A table for deciding the corresponding relation of the data of an input color space to the data of an output color space is set according to the input color space. In a color difference diffusing part, a color difference obtained from processed pixels is added to inputted c data by an adder 701, and the corrected c data are inputted to a print color selection table 702. Then, m and y data are processed in the same way, and the corrected m and y data are inputted to the print color selection table 702. Also, the print color selection table 702 is set so that one of colors (print colors) which can be outputted by a printer to all the c, m, and y inputs can be selected, and a print color code corresponding to the print color can be outputted.
