PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly improve the detecting sensitivity of a fading-preventing agent by adding cyclodextrins in an aqueous solution containing a labeling pigment used for the preparation of a pigment coupling probe or an aqueous solution containing the pigment coupling probe as the fading preventing agent. SOLUTION: Cyclodextrins are added to an aqueous solution containing a labeling pigment used for the preparation of a pigment coupling probe for measurement of a substance of a living body or an aqueous solution containing a pigment coupling probe as a fading-preventing agent. The fading action of the labeling pigment or the pigment coupling probe in an aqueous state and the fading-preventing action or sensitivity-intensifying action of the cyclodextrins against the labeling pigment or pigment coupling probe can be examined easily by dissolving the labeling pigment or pigment coupling probe in, for example, an appropriate neutral or near neutral buffer and comparing the intensities of spectra measured immediately after the solution is prepared, after the solution is preserved for several hours under a light-shielded condition, and the solution is preserved for 48 hours under the light-shielded condition with each other.
