PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to easily and accurately confirm his/her reading position of a data code. SOLUTION: This reader is provided with a reading position photographing means 5 which photographs a reading position R and a display 6 which displays an image photographed by the means 5 to an operator. Thus, the image photographed by the means 5 is projected on the display 6 and the position R is displayed to the operator. In such a way, the operator can visually confirm the presence or absence of a data code C at the position R. Thereby the operator can easily and accurately confirm the position R of the code C just by looking at the image which is shown on the display 6. |
