PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform miniaturization and cost reduction of a communication device connected to a communication terminal to be use and also to improve the communication cost and operability by transmitting a character message attached to communication data to be transmitted at the same time. SOLUTION: This communication device 100 is provided with a communication terminal control part 108 which reads the telephone number of an access point of a communication provider, a communication parameter such as the mail address of the opposite communication party and character messages which are preliminarily set in a communication terminal machine 210, reads image data stored in a data memory 101, performs protocol conversion of character messages together with the image data and transmits them in the case of transmitting them via the machine 210.
