Packaging machine with article selector wedge with convexly curved face

A cartoning machine for beverage cans includes wedges 20 for selecting articles from a conveyor into groups. The wedge has a convexly curved face 24 which contacts the cans when the wedge is in use. The curved face reduces damage to the cans from infeed pressure. The wedge may be attached to the end of a flight bar on a selecting system of the cartoning machine.
