<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic mail incoming notification equipment allowing a user to confirm the presence or absence of a newly incoming mail without connecting this equipment with a provider. SOLUTION: When a provider 1 receives an electronic mail destined for a user, the provider 1 notices the reception through a public line 3 to the terminal equipment of a user. Number display corresponding network equipment 4 set at the terminal equipment outputs the telephone number of the origin of the transmission of information to a number check circuit 5. The number check circuit 5 compares the inputted telephone number with the telephone number of the provider 1 stored in a provider information storing part 6, and judges whether or not the origin of transmission is the provider 1. When it is judged that the origin of transmission is the provider 1, it is judged that the input information is the notice of the presence of a newly incoming mail. The information of the presence of the newly incoming mail is inputted through a control circuit 7 to an electronic mail incoming notification circuit 8. Then, the electronic mail incoming notification circuit 8 displays the notice of the presence of the newly incoming mail on a display or the like.</p> |
