PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of damage (an increase in a leakage current unsuitable as a capacitor finished product) to a dielectric layer due to the mechanical shock at the time when an outer shell resin layer is formed by an injection molding method or the like, and also to prevent the generation of a change of properties (a deterioration of various characteristics appropriate as the capacitor finished product) in a solid electrolyte layer and the dielectric layer due to the reason that the outer shell resin layer has a water vapor absorption in a solid electrolytic capacitor of a structure, wherein the dielectric layer, the solid electrolyte layer, a cathode lead-out layer, the outer shell resin layer and the like are formed in order on the outer side of an anode member. SOLUTION: A protective layer 6 consisting of a material layer containing an inorganic oxide as its main component is formed between a cathode lead-out layer 4 and an outer shell resin layer 7. The layer 6 is formed as a very thin layer by coating and curing a low-viscosity coating liquid formed by dissolving an inorganic oxide-containing material in an organic solvent on the side of the layer 4.
