The steering spindle(4) on the low torque side has axial and/or torsional stops(5) to limit angle of rotation in both directions, and interacting stops(2) on the housing side. The steering spindle has a section of reduced diameter which has an external thread running in the axial direction and encompassed by an internally threaded sleeve. The sleeve is movable along the reduced diameter section and is rigidly connected to an electrically operated steering actuator. The faces of the sleeve facing each other and both parts of the steering spindle connecting on the reduced diameter section form stop faces.
