PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily take a photograph having a size suitable for a certification photography by displaying a frame indicating a position where a person to be photographed is to be arranged and the size of the photograph of the person in a finder and also to recognize that the photograph is taken in a certification photography mode at the time of a printing when a certification photography photographing mode is specified. SOLUTION: When a mode for passport photography or a mode for license photography is set by a certification photography mode setting switch 5, the indication frame imitated to the upper half of a human body is displayed in a finder (an LCD 4). Next, conditions of a background are judged by processing the image formed on an image sensor 6 with an image formation lens 7 by an MPU 1. When the MPU 1 judges that the background is complexity, it performs a warning by sounding a buzzer 3. Next, the MPU 1 performs an ordinary releasing processing such as the opening and closing of a shutter or the like and also performs the writing of information as to in which mode of certification photography modes the photograph is taken to a film 9. The writing of information is performed by writing magnetic data on the magnetic layer of the film 9 with a magnetic head 8.
