The motherboard (10) includes a bus (12) connected to a socket (18) into which a display module is inserted. A data signal transmitted via the bus is displayed on a display device. The module includes a position identifier which identifies a specific address signal transmitted via the bus, and then starts operation of the display to indicate the data signals transmitted via the bus. When the start program (16) is executed by the processor (20), the processor is able to output a data signal and the associated address signal to the bus. If the position identifier identifies the address signal, it starts the operation of the display, to indicate the data signal from the start program.
