The bottle (1) conveyor for moving bottles into and out of a treatment chamber (2) has a chamber (3) which is open on its outside edge and contains a rotor (4). Pairs of star wheels (17, 20, 18, 19) are arranged around the circumference of the rotor. Gripping devices (6, 24) can transfer bottles between the star wheels and the rotor. A transfer component (D) is arranged in the transfer region (C) between each pair of star wheels and the circumference of the rotor and transfers bottles between them.
