UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC SHOPPING CART

A multisite shopping cart and cooperative sales system allows online shoppers to shop at a number of unrelated merchant websites without having to enter their personal information at each site. The shoppers access the system through a lead web site associated with a Parsing Proxy Server (PPS) and an Application Server (APS) that manage the shopper's interactions with the various merchant web sites. When the shopper finalizes her purchases, the APS transfers the purchase data from the multisite cart to the various individual merchant sites via form filling or a software robot ("bot") on the PPS.
