The end wall(8) of the gas generator's expansion chamber(7) is formed in such a way that the expansion chamber's cross section tapers in nozzle form towards the area of the discharge openings(10). The end wall on the side facing the expansion chamber has an annular conically tapering extension(11) in which are integrated radially outwards orientated discharge channels(9) which align with discharge openings in the housing(3).
