METHOD OF ASSEMBLY OF CARDIOTOMY FILTER

A method of assembly of a cardiotomy filter for use in a hardshell venous reservoir (20) is disclosed. The method includes welding a cardiotomy filter (40) to a filter frame (36) using radio frequency welding, using hot plate welding or using vibration welding. The welding is conducted along the perimeter of a filter window area on the filter frame. Preferably, the parameter includes an energy directing configuration to promote a uniform seal around the filter window area.
