New instant enzyme formulation, useful as animal feed supplement, made by agglomerating a water-soluble powdered carrier by spraying on a solution of an enzyme preparation or a binder

An instant type enzyme preparation is made by agglomerating a powdered water soluble (in)organic carrier or enzyme preparation by spraying with an enzyme solution or binder solution, is new. An instant type enzyme preparation is produced by: (a) providing a material in powdered form such as: (i) an (in)organic carrier which is soluble in aqueous medium; (ii) an enzyme preparation which is soluble in aqueous medium; or (iii) mixtures of (i) and (ii); (b) agglomerating the powder to instant granules by simultaneous or staggered spraying of one or more spray mediums such as enzyme solutions, solutions of binding agents, dispersions of binding agents and enzyme solutions containing a binder, with the proviso that the sprayed medium comprises at least an enzyme-containing solution if the powdered starting material contains no enzyme preparation.
