The safety seat comprises a shell element(2) attached to the body of the vehicle, and in which are integrally constructed a foot area(4), a sitting area(3), and backrest area(1). The seat with loads acting upon it can be displaced as a whole relative to the body of the vehicle. The shell element on its underside is completely closed by a bottom element(7), and at least in the foot area has a box-form structure. The shell element has side walls(5) which also act as head side supports(6) and in the foot area are interconnected by the bottom element and cover section(8).
