The invention relates to a pipe coupling, comprising two clip halves (1, 2) with a substantially C-shaped cross-section, which are connected at one of their ends by a respective bolt (3), in such a way that they can pivot in relation to one another and comprising a rapid-action closure for detachably connecting the other ends of the clip halves (1, 2) which lie diametrically opposite each other. The rapid-action closure has a threaded bolt (4), one end of which is coupled to one clip half (1). A threaded nut (6) which draws one of the clip halves (2) into the closed position is fitted to the other end of the screw bolt. A lever (7) is coupled to the threaded nut (6), said lever can be locked in the closed position using a bow spring (11). The invention aims to ensure that the pipe coupling can be assembled in a consistently reliable manner and to guarantee a flawless seal, using minimal construction resources. To this end, a bow spring (12, 13) is located in each clip half (1, 2) on the pipe side. The eye (14) of said bow spring is coupled centrally in the vicinity of the articulated connection of the clip halves (1, 2) and the free end of the spring is held, so that it can be longitudinally displaced, in the vicinity of the end of each clip half (1, 2) which lies near the rapid-action closure. |
