An electronic control unit (14) has pressure and temperature inputs from sensors (18) in the combustion chamber (1), and controls the air to fuel mixture ratio (11), the servo motor (9) and the fan motor (7). The fan motor is supplied via a frequency converter (19). The actions of the air valve servo motor (9) and fan motor (7) are controlled to minimize use of fuel.
