At least one, preferably two short tubes passing the inspired gas, join to a connector. The tubes can be shortened to lodge them in the nasal passages, and match them in shape. An Independent claim is included for the method of mask manufacture. An applicator injects elastomer around the connection unit described above, forming the mask body. Holders are incorporated to fasten the mask to the head. Preferred features: The material is soft, elastic and deformable. The mask is matched to individual nose shape. The mask holder is introduced into the still-plastic material, and is not rigidly connected to the mask. The mask is made directly on the user. Manufacture is associated with location. On introducing the tubes into the nose, sealing is effected. The mask has a flexible connection, enabling connection to a breathing apparatus, whilst allowing movement.
