The folding chair comprises four vertical rails (1 - 4) joined by curved top and bottom (8 - 10) horizontal rails to form a frame. The total distance between the pairs of rails (1 and 2 ) and (2 and 3) is less than the total distance between the pairs (3 and 4) and (4 and 1). The total distance between the pairs of rails (1 and 2 ) and (3 and 4) is less than the distance between the pairs (2 and 3) and greater or equal to the distance between the pair (4 and 1). A seat (12) is mounted on a pivot (5) connected between one of the pairs of vertical rails.
