<p>A temperature monitoring device consists of a sensing device and a display device which are connected by means of a flat ribbon cable. In use, the sensor device is mounted on an internal surface of a cabinet whose temperature is to be monitored (e.g. a refrigerator) and the display device is mounted on an external surface of the cabinet. The connecting ribbon cable is arranged to pass between the cabinet door and the cabinet case, preferably on the hinged end of the door, so that the sealing properties of the door are not compromised. In this way a temperature display is provided which does not involve modification of the original cabinet.</p> |
