TECHNIQUE DETERMINING PURITY OF NORMAL MOLASSES

sugar industry, test of degree of depletion of molasses. SUBSTANCE: proposed technique provides for addition of crystals of granulated sugar placed into cylindrical gauze cassette into molasses. Large-size fraction of crystals with size of 0.5-0.8 mm with proportion of 1:2-1:3 to molasses is used in this case. Gauze cassette holds crystals and ensures filtration of molasses through layer of crystals over section of cassette. Crystals with oscillation amplitude 3-6.10-3 m and frequency 2-5 s-1. only are subjected to vibration mixing. Molasses is analyzed for content of dry substances and sugar. Purity of molasses is computed when constant quantity of contained dry substances in it is achieved. EFFECT: technique ensures increased accuracy of determination of purity of normal molasses and acceleration of analysis.
