SUBSTANCE: process used for calibrating stroboscopic transducers (oscilloscopes) designed for high-precision measurements of superbroad-band electric signals involves use of calibration source with precisely known time variables t; output signal is used to determine number of readings n of time variable t at different positions of output signal in aperture; instability in read-out step DELTAT is compensated for according to difference in n; then signal pairs spaced apart through definite delay time &thetas;, are applied to transducer input . Number of readings m between pairs of output signals is measured, and read-out step DELTAT = &thetas;/m is calculated.
