mechanical engineering; diesel engine mufflers. SUBSTANCE: proposed muffler has cylindrical housing with gas branch pipe. Muffler is furnished with fan installed between gas feed branch pipe and filter unit. Cone rigidly secured in center of fan is pointed with its to inlet branch pipe made in form of truncated cone secured by base in end face part of housing. End face part of housing is made concave in its middle part and is provided with drain hole. Part of housing after filter unit is perforated. Cover is secured on opposite end of housing. Noise-damping cloth is placed under cover. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced level of exhaust noises. 2 cl, 1 dwg
