oil production. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to recovery of oil from wells by well sucker-rod pumps and deals with protection of pumps against harmful effects of gas and sand. Separator has body having inlet holes and gas-release conduits in upper part and container in lower part. It also includes intake funnel placed across inlet branch pipe and filtration element for gravitational separation of gas from fluid and for filtering-off of large fractions of mechanical impurities. Enclosure has inlet holes in upper part. Filtration element shuts off inlet holes. Enclosure is mounted concentrically to outer surface of body and forms chamber for collection of mechanical impurities together with body. EFFECT: increased separation capability of down-hole separator of simplified design. 1 cl, 1 dwg
