applied magnetooptics. SUBSTANCE: procedure specifically refers to nondestructive methods of test of materials for flaws, it can be employed to detect defects in articles containing ferromagnetic materials and in criminology. Proposed procedure includes pressing of flexible magnetic medium against surface of tested article, formation of magnetic field, copying of magnetic field with its movement along surface of article on to flexible magnetic medium, generation and visualization of distribution of magnetization in magnetooptical film from copy of distribution of magnetization obtained on flexible magnetic medium. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and resolution during inspection of articles with varnish and paint coats, capability of inspection of flaws inside articles. 2 dwg
