The steering column consists of a shaft section (2), which has, fitted at one end (3), a yoke (4) of a universal joint. A sleeve (5) is fixed to the yoke, which surrounds the end of the shaft and is joined to it by a plug (6) in a material to filter out vibrations. The sleeve contains cutouts (7-12) into which the material of the plug can penetrate to ensure a good connection of the yoke to the shaft.
