<p>A method and an apparatus whereby the energy conditions of cells or drugs are spectrally analyzed to thereby quickly and surely determine the type and/or condition of a disease; and a screening method and an apparatus whereby a target drug can be effectively selected. The above determination method comprises measuring, for example, the absorption spectrum in the infrared region of cells obtained from a specimen and examining the presence/absence of an absorption spectrum agreeing therewith by using at least two infrared absorption spectra as indications, thereby determining the type and condition of the disease.</p> |
