Projections (K) of height (H), standing out less than the wall thickness (S), from the internal surface (13), are integral with, and of the same material as the wall (11). They are relieved of at least some of the internal coloring layer (C). An Independent claim is included for the method of manufacture by casting glass in a mold, later coating the color internally and drying only sufficiently that it can be removed from the projections by wiping-off using a flat tool, thus locally-clearing the projection of color. Preferred features: The translucent material is clear in transmission. The color (C) is opaque. The height of projections is about 1/8 to 1/2 of the wall thickness. The shade is cast in a mold, with a smooth outer surface (12) and an inner surface undercut in accordance with the direction of extraction (Y) from the mold.
