A scatter-preventing tool for fluorescent lamps characterized by comprising a light-transmitting sleeve (111) to be fitted on a fluorescent lamp (1), and covers (112) each having a receiving portion (113) for receiving the sleeve, wherein the sleeve is held on the outer peripheral surface of the fluorescent lamp with the opposite ends of the fluorescent lamp received in the covers. Thereby, the fluorescent lamp is protected by the sleeve and handling is simplified. And even if the glass tube should break, scattering of fragments can be prevented; thus, safety is improved. As for applications of the scatter-preventing tool for fluorescent lamps, it is applied to fluorescent lamps, particularly to fluorescent lamps in various shops and restaurants.
