The method involves calling up a TV transmitter by calling up the number of the associated channel (BENK) and adopting an additional virtual number (BVN) to call up the channel. The virtual number of a channel that has been last received for longer than a defined period, e.g. 10 minutes, is adopted. The number 00 is used as the virtual number. An Independent claim is also included for a TV receiver.
