The gearbox has a gearbox housing (3) and at least one gearbox shaft (2) with loose wheels (4-7) mounted coaxially and rotatably w.r.t the shaft and change sleeves (12,13) mounted to move axially and turn with the shaft. Several change bodies (18,19) coupled to the change sleeves can move w.r.t a change rod (17) and have separate coils that can be supplied with electric current. The change rod can be moved linearly w.r.t the gearbox housing in one direction by a control element and each change body has two states. The change rod can move in the movement direction in the first state and is coupled to the change body in the second state by an electromagnetically actuated coupling element.
