The tow rope consists of two end hooks (10) for hanging in eyes in vehicles for towing. Each hook has a device (12) to provide an electrical contact with the pole of a battery. There is an electric lead (24) built into the tow rope (20), connecting the hooks to each other. It may be possible to close at least one of the hooks.
