An information recording/reproducing device having an eject slider (9) to be moved by an external operation, wherein an eject plate (2) as a mechanical drive means constituting a loading mechanism engages an eject lock lever (12) so that a driving force to the eject slider (9) is transmitted to the eject plate (2) via the eject lock lever (12). During recording information on a recording medium (4) and when current is supplied to an eject latch magnet (15), the attraction plate (14) of the eject lock lever (12) is attracted to tilt the eject lock lever (12), whereby a driving force applied to the eject slider (9) is no longer transmitted to the eject lock lever (12) and therefore not to the eject plate (2).
