The clamping device has two groups of pistons (3, 4) axially one behind the other in the same plane. Each group consists of at least three pistons with rods (5, 6) which can be taken across the center line. The piston rods of the second group can be moved simultaneously by a setting device and can be run into contact independently of each other.
