The kit has a potentiometer integrated into or mounted on a brake light switch and an incandescent lamp or halogen lamp with increased wattage. More or less current is fed to the brake light by actuating the brake pedal. For normal brake operation the same current is delivered as for a normal brake light and the heavier the braking pressure the brighter the brake light.
