Ink release mechanism comprises a press (11) that is activated by a sprung lever (9) so that it pressurizes the ink container (4) forcing ink out of ink supply line (7). The press and lever include engaging and locking elements that prevent the applied pressure being released by the outwards force of the compressed container (4), which is configured like a bellows that can be pressed in and out.
