A program is downloaded from external after suitably selecting a connected device to which the program is to be downloaded. When a second device connected to a first device is controlled by executing a first program inputted from external into the first device and a second program previously prepared in the first device, the second program is executed to select the most desirable device as the second device among the devices connected to the first device, and then the first program is executed by using the information on the selected device.
