A dimension measuring device capable of detecting a lattice start-moving position or a lattice stopping position using a simple signal processing system on the basis of a non-sinusoidal wave signal, and improving a measuring accuracy and reliability, the device comprising a moving member for moving for dimension measuring, a lattice means for moving along with the moving member, an optical means for illuminating the lattice means, a light receiving unit for receiving light passed through the lattice means and applied by the optical means, and for generating a non-sinusoidal wave signal according to the movement of the moving member, and a processing unit for measuring a moved distance of the moving member based on a non-sinusoidal wave signal.
