PURPOSE: A method for controlling communication charges is provided to supply communication usage details to users via PC communication and to control the communication charges, so as to supply charge discounts, premiums, coupons, and mileage services to the users. CONSTITUTION: If a user connects to a PC communication terminal, information on the user is received by relating to a user number. If the user corresponds to the user number, charge-related information relating to the user number is supplied to the user. An information center decides whether the user utilizes a personal order service. If so, a request for the personal order service is received from the user to perform a personal ordering operation. If the user does not utilize the service, the user is examined whether the user pays a communication charge via an automatic transferring service. If so, a communication bill is examined whether the communication bill does not have to be delivered to the user by mail, to supply a premium or a mileage service. If the user does not use the automatic transferring service, the user is received whether to use the automatic transferring service through the PC terminal. If the user does not apply for the automatic transferring service, a connection completing request is received from the information center, then the connection is completed.
