The invention concerns the method for preparing amides, in which method substrate (nitryl) is converted into proper amide with use of microorganisms of species Amycolatopsis, and also functionally equivalent mutants thereof, which have an ability to convert nitryl into amide, or with use of ferment having a nitryl hydratase activity and being obtained from the mentioned microorganisms. The invention also concerns the above mentioned ferment, which pH-optimum is of 6.5+- 1.0, temperature optimum at thI 7.0 is of 35-400C the value of Em for the substrate of 3-cyane pyridine is about 41.7 mM, and also strains of microorganisms of Amycolatopsis NA40 and Amycolatopsis NE31, which have the ability to convert nitryl into amide. |
