PURPOSE: Polyethylene glycol-amine capable of being effectively used for supporters in the process of synthesizing peptide, increasing the molecular weight by binding with pharmaceutical materials and hydrophylic property and reducing immunoreactivity is provided which can be effectively used in the field of biotechnology. CONSTITUTION: The polyethylene glycol amines of the formula; H3C-(OCH2CH2)n-NH2 having a molecular weight of 300 to 200,000 Dalton is prepared by reaction of polyethylene glycol with thionyl chloride and sodium azide and hydrogenating or with toluene sulfonyl chloride, potassium phthalimide and hydrazine hydrate. The compound can form a giant polymer structure shaped like three-dimensional mesh by carrying out self-copolymerization and used for drug transfer mediums. |
