In the present invention, there is disclosed a process for obtaining crystalline salts from thickened mineral water maintaining bicarbonate content wherein the process is characterized in that water is first saturated with carbon dioxide under pressure being higher than atmospheric one and at temperatures up to 50 degC. The obtained crystal and solution suspension is then dried at temperatures exceeding decomposition temperature of bicarbonates being present in the thickened water. Saturation is preferably carried out within a pressure vessel provided with a circulation pump with and introduced ejector gas distributor that sucks carbon dioxide from a space above the suspension level, whereby pressure in the device is maintained constant by feeding carbon dioxide therein. Drying of the suspension withdrawn from the saturator is preferably carried out by air within a concurrently arranged spray drier, wherein air temperature, as measured by a wet thermometer, is within the range of 40 to 55 degC at the drier inlet and temperature of which at the drier outlet is maintained in the range of 80 to 120 degC. Abrupt cooling of air stream and discharged crystals is preferably carried out at the drier outlet by mixing thereof with cold fresh air so that the stream temperature would drop below 50 degC.
|
