PURPOSE: A method is provided to reduce smoke in no-load operation mode or a sudden acceleration or deceleration mode while eliminating the necessity of re-drawing an overall fuel map for determination of no-load operation or sudden acceleration or deceleration mode. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of judging a normal fuel map by judging the current engine rpm state; judging a normal fuel map by judging a neutral position of a gear, an opening degree of an accelerating pedal and a vehicle speed; and turning a boost pressure compensation system switch off so as to reduce an amount of fuel, if the fuel map is not judged as normal. In drawing up a fuel amount map, no-operation mode or sudden acceleration or deceleration mode is judged considering the whole situation of an engine rpm, travel state and opening degree of an accelerator pedal.
