APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SELECTING DUAL BAND USING ANALOG SWITCH

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for selecting a dual band using an analog switch are provided to use the frequency bands of the CDMA system or the PCS system, which use different frequency bands, with a simple switching operation selectively. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit(100) interfaces a CDMA+PCS signal received through an antenna(1000). A first duplexer(200) receives the CDMA+PCS signal from the interface unit(100) and filters it into a setting band. A first low noise amplifier(300) removes noise from the signal transmitted from the first duplexer(200) and amplifies it to a required amplification level. A second duplexer(400) receives the CDMA+PCS signal from the interface unit(100) and filters it into a setting band. A second low noise amplifier(500) removes noise from the signal transmitted from the second duplexer(400) and amplifies it to a required amplification level. A control unit(600) senses the strength of the radio frequency signal received through the antenna(1000) and transmits a control signal to select the CDMA system or the PCS system. A switching unit(700) receives the control signal transmitted from the control unit(600) and turns on or off the first low noise amplifier(300) and the second low noise amplifier(500).
